I thought that I didn’t improve that much until I read my goals and desires that I’ve written at the beginning of this semester. My goals were not so realistic as I was so overwhelmed with the amount of information I faced at the start of the semester. Editing professionally was one of the goals I wrote. However, that can’t be achieved in one semester, especially with Adobe Premier which has many specific details to edit different aspects of the video. I managed to learn many basic techniques that I am pleased to finish this semester with this level of knowledge.
The other thing I wrote about is learning how to operate a camera. Although I didn’t give this goal the right amount of attention and importance in my goals and desires, I found out that taking decent shots is as important as the editing. Working on the quality of shots gave me so much control with editing different versions and playing with the footage creatively.
